Celebrating the Femdom Community

It's time to celebrate you, your venue and the way you do it,
in Second Life.

Your community requests your presence for an annual Femdom convention showcasing the many nuanced styles of Female-Led dynamics.
​
For many years we have received feedback that it is a desire of our community members to have an event that brings us all together. We are very aware that it takes a lot of work to bring such events together and it can sometimes create challenges between venues to have workload shared and equal representation.
​
Now that FCC is well established, and as we sit independently and do not have the ongoing demands of running a venue day-to-day, we think FCC is in a great position to create such an event and have it build moving forward each year.
The Vision
The vision is for a large event over a full weekend including:

Shopping

Dance and themed parties

Education
-
Product and kink demonstrations

Social events
-
Affiliated Venue and Store advertising

Community development workshops
-
And much more ....
As always, we seek to include the community and venues in the projects we work on at FCC, and as such would like to invite you and your staff to be involved in this event.

The MELD is planned for September, even though we announce in February/March because we want to give you plenty of notice so you can plan your venue's schedule around it if you choose to.

Event Dates
The MELD is a sim-wide event running in the last week of September each year. For 2024 it will be as follows:

19th September: Soft open
-
20th September: Formal open
-
29nd September: Formal close
-
30th September: Shopping closes/Tear down
The Ask

Consider if & how you would like to have your venue/store represented at The MELD. There will be opportunities to run events, provide staff, as well as have a booth to advertise -- all of which we will provide more information about in the coming months.

If you own a FEMDOM venue, we encourage you to assign a delegate to attend Planning sessions, to guide the implementation of your venue's event at The MELD.

Make sure that anyone interested is joined up with the FCC group as that is where we will be publishing further information about The MELD event.

Of course, events like this are rarely a success without getting the word out, so feel free to share with your staff and community about it. Resources will be provided at FCC HQ in-world in the coming weeks.

Planning Committees
In March, we kick-off this year's MELD Planning Season. Members of the community are invited to join us to produce this year's event starting with the formation of the following MELD Planning committees:

Social - Planning the social events to run during the weekend. This includes the scheduling and either running the event or coordinating with those who will run it.

Educational - Planning the educational sessions to run during the weekend. This includes the scheduling and either running an educational event or coordinating with those who will run it.

Building - Planning the layout of the event, sourcing items and building resources, and set up of the sim.

Outreach - Planning, promotion of the event through marketing and advertising, Sponsor & Vendor liasoning.

You, or some of your staff, may wish
to join a committee or appoint
a delegate to attend semi-weekly Planning Committee sessions.

Keep in mind that no person or venue is obligated to contribute. Everything is purely voluntary. Every venue and store will have the opportunity to be represented, if they choose to, and there will be opportunities to increase your venues exposure through participation in creating and/or sponsoring the event.
Consider Joining Us
We believe The MELD will be an enjoyable event for the community, and an asset for venues and stores. It will create opportunities to collaborate and build relationships, as well as advertise and grow your venue. We would love to have you and your venue involved.
