The Evolution of MELD

Now entering its fourth year, MELD has grown from its femdom roots into a broader, intentional kink convention — uniting creators, performers, educators, and lifestyle communities within one immersive environment.

What began as a focused community gathering has expanded into a multi-sim convention experience designed to support creative collaboration, education, performance, and commerce within the evolving landscape of Second Life kink culture.

MELD continues to grow through cross-community collaboration and partnerships that strengthen both its creative vision and production infrastructure.

This year, MELD is produced in collaboration with leading sponsored brands including aika and BackBone, whose ongoing work in creator events and retail innovation continues to shape the Second Life marketplace.

These collaborations bring valuable insight into event design, shopper behavior, and sustainable creator engagement.

Together, MELD leadership and its collaborators shape the convention’s footprint, production standards, and cultural reach—ensuring the experience reflects both creative depth and industry evolution.

Why Designers Choose MELD

Why Designers Choose MELD

MELD offers creators more than booth space — it offers placement within a curated cultural event.

Designers participate in MELD because the convention brings together an engaged audience specifically interested in kink, power exchange, fetish fashion, and lifestyle expression. The event blends education, performance, discussion, and shopping, creating sustained visitor engagement throughout the full 23-day experience.

Creators benefit from:

  • Curated designer lineup maintaining aesthetic cohesion and event quality

  • Dedicated media promotion across established Second Life channels

  • Integration with convention programming including talks, performances, and discussions

  • A focused kink-aligned audience interested in fetish fashion and power exchange culture

For many designers, MELD offers an opportunity to release work within an environment where context, culture, and creativity intersect.

With 23 days of convention programming, the event maintains consistent visitor flow across an immersive experience.
